Autumn's amazing colours!

As the deep dish apple pie bakes I thought I'd take time to catch up with what we've been up to at Harmony this week.  We've been a part of many thanksgiving celebrations, a few 50th wedding anniversary parties, several birthdays, anniversaries, wedding vow renewal and one I'm sorry occasions.  Everyday brings new designs, inspirations and wonderful clients.  Thank you.

It was all lavender....and it was lovely

Lavender ruled this weekend at the Officers' Mess.

Lavender: roses, lisianthus, sweetheart roses, waxflowers; white: dahlias, roses, lisianthus and calla lilies.

The car needed flowers - and ribbons.  Wonder how the flowers survived the multiple trips on the highway!?!

My favourite - the ceremony structure.

The table arrangements were kept simple.  The large sterling silver candelabras were the real table centrepieces!

The Groom's boutonniere.

And we couldn't forget the Ring Bearer.

You just tied the knot.  Congratulations.  The last of the 'Thank You' notes have been sent out and you find yourself wanting to share your fairytale wedding with everyone you meet from the coffee barista to the co-op student in the office.    You want to experience the rush of adrenalin you felt on that magical day.   Your reception was such a hit that months later it's still trending on all the social media sites.  Was your wedding trendy & hip, modern & edgy, eco-chic, intimate & romantic, multi-cultural, themed, or DIY - perhaps you had an unexpected but touching surprise on your day?  So why not submit your wedding to one of the dozens of reputable wedding magazines or blogs?  They're always looking to feature real couples in particular those with a photo-story which will  inspire their readers.
Every wedding magazine and blog has their own submission criteria so I advise you to check with their websites for guidelines.

From Style Me Pretty here are their initial requirements:

Summer Weddings.....continue

Saturday was an early day as our wedding couple, Jennifer and Cory, exchanged vows in the morning followed by what I'm sure was a fabulous luncheon at the Courtyard Restaurant in the historic Byward Market.  Flowers were roses, calla lilies, lisianthus and dahlias in an ivory, white and cheery yellow palette which quickly is becoming one of our favourites this summer.

Best wishes Jennifer and Cory.  Thank you for including us on your special day; we were honoured.

Summer Weddings continued.....

A glorious day Friday at Strathmere Inn for a summer wedding.   The bride selected a violet, white and green palette for her special day.  We captured this with roses, freesia, stock, hydrangea, lisianthus, ornithigalum and lilies.  The scents were magnificant and the colours spectacular.

The arbour was decorated with a fresh floral display and tissue paper pom poms in shades of violet and lavender.  With the gentle breeze blowing on Friday it was a whimsical display.

We were honoured to be a part of making her vision come true. Best wishes to Sarah,  Ray and their families.
